Chairman John Berylson has been speaking ahead of our home clash against Ipswich Town this weekend and given his backing to manager Ian Holloway.
In quotes printed on the official site he explained.
‘Just so everyone is absolutely clear about the situation here – whatever the outcome of Saturday’s game against Ipswich Town, we have every intention of backing our manager. The position we find ourselves in at the moment is a cause for concern, we know that, and the nature of our performance in the FA Cup was unacceptable.’
Berylson says though that this had already been identified and issues were already being worked on to try and rectify it, hence the five new signings we have made so far this January window.
‘Rest assured we will try to sign more within the next few weeks. The manager needs to reconstruct the squad and build a new Millwall team to take us forward. We knew this would be the case in the summer, but circumstances have dictated that we are having to bring that process forward.’
Well that’s the vote of confidence then.
