Manager Ian Holloway has said that Millwall have a fantastic chance to drag other teams into the mix again when we face Leeds United this weekend.
Following away wins at Nottingham Forest and Birmingham City, the gaffer is hoping to see us continue that run of form when we travel to Elland Road this weekend.
Speaking to the official site ahead of the game, he explained.
‘We’ll go to Leeds in confident mood after Tuesday night. The way we played against Birmingham, with our shape that stopped them playing and then enabled us to break on them, was what I’ve been looking for. If we can get the balance right we can be a decent team in this tough division. We need to stay solid, make ourselves difficult to beat, and gradually claw away at the gap between ourselves and a whole group of clubs above us. Leeds are one of those. A win there would reduce their advantage over us to two points and drag others into the fight as well.’
Holloway goes on to say that their gaffer Neil Redfern has got them playing in a way that is entertaining the fans now, and it’s starting to get them results and improve their own form, but he knows if we can stop them playing and create chances for ourselves we more than have enough quality to get that third away win on the trot and that will be exactly what we are aiming to do.
