Manager Ian Holloway has today added Austrian International striker Stefan Maierhofer to our ranks until the end of the season.

With DJ Campbell and Jermaine Easter out with injuries, the gaffer had already recalled John Marquis from his loan spell, but with the added complication of the neck injury to Steve Morison and his style of play and what he brings us, Ollie has tried to give us another alternative.

The new signing is just under 6ft 8in tall and has been clubless since leaving former employers FC Koln last summer.

He has been in England before though, he had a spell with Wolverhampton Wanderers during their time in the Premiership back in the 2009-10.

The 31 year old joined the lads for training on Thursday for the first time and he has been handed the No 42 shirt for the remainder of this campaign, and could well make his debut this weekend.
