Manager Neil Harris has admitted Fleetwood were the better team on Tuesday evening so we just have to dust ourselves down and look to the next match now.

Speaking to the official site in his post game press conference the gaffer admitted he could have few complaints about the two one loss, so for him it was about moving onto the next one and not letting this blip ruin the progress we had been making.

Describing the match as a ‘learning curve’ for the side, he explained.

‘We got beaten by the better team. On the night we were second best all over the park. In games like that we have to be better physically and mentally but in no way am I knocking the players because they have been brilliant over the last nine games. As far as I am concerned there is no doom and gloom. We’re disappointed and we’re frustrated, but that game and the result is a learning curve for us and we can still take some positives from it.’

With weather conditions on the night not being favourable, Harris was quick to point to the fact that it was the same for both sides so we couldn’t hide behind that looking for excuses – we just front up to the fact we weren’t good enough and we look to be good enough next time round.

‘The conditions were difficult but they were the same for both teams so it is in no way an excuse. They certainly played to the conditions better than us but ultimately what won them the game was a 25-minute spell of football.’
