Manager Neil Harris has said that Millwall can lay down a real marker when we face Swindon Town this weekend.
Having suffered an inconsistent start to League One life, it really has come together for Chopper and the boys and the Play Offs are not an unreal prospect as we sit in fifth place in the table, and Harris said he was relishing the trip to the County Ground to face a now in form Swindon because it will be a real test and for him, establish our promotion credentials if we can come away from the game with all three points.
Speaking to the official site in his pre game press conference, Harris knew it would be an incredibly tough game as under the charge of Luke Williams as head coach, they have now won four in a row – and the game is obviously crucial to both sides.
‘They are a very dangerous side, one of those teams who are certainly on the way up. They have moved away from any relegation worries they had early in the season to be a real force. It’s a tight division, and it will be up and down until May 8th. Every point is vital at this stage of the season, but we have belief in our style of play and have been dogged and determined when we have needed to be. However it counts for nothing unless we carry it on until the end of the season. We can really set a marker down this weekend with a really solid, reliable, resilient Millwall display at Swindon, adding some quality that we possess in the team. It will be a cracking game of football and we have to make sure that everything we have done away from home this season we reproduce this week.’
Going into the game four unbeaten with two wins, and that run could’ve said nine had it not been for Scunthorpe, sees us go into the game in good spirits as well, so it could well be the cracker that Harris expects.
