Manager Neil Harris has admitted that with the international break now with us when it comes to league action, he will assess the squad and look at potential loan options.

With Millwall facing Northampton Town in the second round of the Johnstone’s Paint Trophy tonight, our next fixture then doesn’t come until Swindon’s visit to The Den on Saturday October 17 and of course depending on the extent of the injuries sustained by Jimmy Abdou and Ed Upson we could well be light in midfield.

The full assessments on those two will be known within the next couple of days, but Harris will be taking a look at options in any event.

Speaking to the official site he explained.

‘We’ve certainly got that option (loans). With injuries to two key midfield players we are looking at the possibility of strengthening the squad. After the game against Northampton we have a big 11-day break to assess where we are and reflect on the first chunk of games this season. It gives us a chance to look at who has impressed, who hasn’t and evaluate what areas could do with strengthening.’
