Manager Neil Harris was pleased once again following the performance and benefits Millwall took from the Dartford friendly yesterday evening.
Heading to Dartford for the game, Millwall took a three nil victory against the National League South side with goals coming from Fred Onyedinma, Aiden O’Brien and Jamie Philpot on the day.
Harris used the game once more to get match minutes into 22 players in total, and two of the four summer signings in the shape of David Worrall and Gregg Wylde also got the run out.

Speaking to the official site following the full time whistle, Harris was rightly pleased with the run out again and the increase in fitness levels.
It was also back to back friendlies wins so far this summer.
‘There were some really strong performances. We look assured with the ball and I thought our decision making at the majority of times was good. Dartford dropped off and allowed us to have the ball at times, which we’re not used to at our level so that was a good test for the boys and they did really well.’
With three goals scored, Harris went on to say.
‘We scored three very good goals and I thought Fred in particular was really lively. Jamie then came on and showed the strength in depth we have in young strikers and his work rate enabled him to win the ball back before finishing the move off for his goal. In the last half an hour all the young players got on the pitch and the chance to play in front of 1,500 fans will have been a great experience for them. I’m delighted with the chances we created and overall it was a good workout with and without the ball.’
