Manager Neil Harris gave a frank assessment of the performance following the four nil loss to Coventry at the weekend.

Speaking to the official site following the game, Harris admitted there probably would be changes for Tuesday’s game given individual performances on the day as frankly it wasn’t good enough and won’t be tolerated.
Calling the showing a ‘shambles’, he explained.
‘I thought we were a shambles to be honest. Leading up to the penalty, even leading up to the first goal, we were really good, looked composed and looked dangerous. Then we concede a goal and we didn’t react. I don’t think we reacted for the first-half. That’s a huge disappointment and it really hurts.’
Harris goes on to say we had done our homework ahead of the game and we knew they had ‘dangerous’ and ‘exciting’ players but we just failed to impose ourselves on them, dictate the play as we should have done and he wasn’t having performances like that.
‘We had to impose ourselves on them. We didn’t and some of the players didn’t look like they knew how to do it. It’s clear to see that some of the players struggle to play here at the moment and until we get results on the board that will certainly impact on my team selection. We’ve got to take stock of this and look back at the game. Then we have to look at Barnsley to see how they are going to play against us and what we can expect and then pick a team from that. The idea of coming in and having a smaller squad is to give the young players a chance. There was some on the bench that could feature on Tuesday.’
