Left back Dan Harding has said he’s relishing the opportunity of playing for Millwall, and admitted he spoke to Richard Chaplow before he decided to make the loan move to us until the end of the current season.

Speaking to the official site the 31 year old said he more than did his homework by talking to his former Southampton colleague Chaplow.

‘Chappy had a lot of good things to say about the club and of course I already knew what a top manager Ian Holloway is, supported by a very good coaching staff. For myself, this is a great opportunity to get some regular first team football again and I’m looking forward to playing my part in the second half of the season.’

Harding goes on to say that every game at this level is a tough one, and he feels that the pressure to succeed builds with every passing season, but from what he knows about Millwall and the players we have, he’s confident he can play his part in turning around our form and getting us on a run of victories that will lift everyone, and of course a mini shoot up the table would leave things looking a lot more positive for everyone.
