With in form striker Lee Gregory finding the net twice once more at the weekend to power Millwall to victory over Walsall at the Bescot Stadium, the former non league striker was incredibly quick to once again praise the ‘brilliant service’ he was getting from his team mates this season.

Scoring his 17th and 18th goals of the campaign as we edged nearer to the top of the table, speaking to the official site in his own post game interviews, Gregory was obviously delighted to extend his own run to scoring in five successive games and picked up eight goals in the last seven matches, but he was quick to pass the credit onto Jed Wallace and Shaun Williams for their assists on the day.

The 27 year old explained.

‘I’m in good form at the minute but credit goes to my team-mates behind me for giving me the service. Jed is really direct so as soon as he gets the ball I know he is going to try and beat his man and put it in the box, so it’s about me getting in the right place and fortunately I was today. The service was brilliant and I could have scored a couple more. We started a little bit slow but when we came in at half-time at 0-0 the gaffer gave us some different jobs to do and I think we did them well. It was a great team performance in horrible conditions so I’m glad we got the win. We’re in good form at the minute but we have got to keep working hard in training.’
