Millwall are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Lee Gregory in the three one victory over Port Vale at the weekend at The Den was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Gregory was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Gregory starred as Millwall bounced back from a midweek Johnstone’s Paint Trophy defeat to beat Port Vale in Sky Bet League 1. The 27-year-old scored two and was heavily involved in the third as the Lions picked up the points on Sunday afternoon.’

It’s always good to see us represented in this way, and well played to Gregory for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course taking all three points and picking up the home win again.

Full Team:

Dan Bentley (Southend), Scott Harrison (Hartlepool), Aden Flint (Bristol City), Alfie Mawson (Barnsley), Craig Noone (Cardiff), Joey Barton (Burnley), Carl McHugh (Plymouth), Brad Potts (Blackpool), Anthony Forde (Walsall), Abel Hernandez (Hull), Lee Gregory (Millwall).

Manager – Jamie Fullarton (Notts County).
