Millwall are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after this week’s action.

The performance by Lee Gregory in the three one victory over Sheffield United at the weekend at The Den was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Gregory was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Gregory starred for Millwall as they notched the EFL Result of the Day ? a 3-1 home success against high-flying Sheffield United. Starting and finishing the move for the first goal in some style, the number nine created the second with a fantastic tackle in midfield and precise through-ball for Mahlon Romeo to finish.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Gregory for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the win.

Full Team:

Mark Oxley (Southend United), Ben Davies (Preston North End), Sean Morrison (Cardiff City), Mark Little (Bolton Wanderers), Sergi Canos (Brentford), George Thorne (Derby County), Callum Connolly (Ipswich Town), Mo Barrow (Reading), Lee Gregory (Millwall), Gary Hooper (Sheffield Wednesday), Ellis Harrison (Bristol Rovers).

Manager – Lee Johnson (Bristol City).
