Millwall are represented in the latest Football League team of the week that has been selected after the Boxing Day festive action.

The performance by Lee Gregory in the two nil victory over Swindon Town on Monday at The Den was enough to earn them a place in the side alongside the other most impressive performers in the Football League pyramid.

I think we’ll already know ourselves, and not just based on the latest performance, why Gregory was selected as part of the team but explaining the choice – the FL blurb read.

‘Gregory struck once in each half to hand Millwall maximum points against Swindon Town. The front man`s neat turn and low finish put the Lions on their way, before emphatically volleying home a second in the 2-0 victory.’

It’s always good to see the club represented in this way, and well played to Gregory for his recognition, but the most important thing about the weekend was of course the three points.

Full Team:

Adam Davies (Barnsley), Scott Laird (Walsall), David Wheater (Bolton Wanderers), Jacob Bedeau (Bury), Luke Ayling (Leeds United), Billy Bodin (Bristol Rovers), Sam Hutchinson (Sheffield Wednesday), Gavin Massey (Leyton Orient), Simon Cox (Southend United), Ian Henderson (Rochdale), Lee Gregory (Millwall).

Manager – Paul Cook (Portsmouth).
