Physio Bobby Bacic has confirmed that it’s good news on winger Lee Martin’s rib injury as he hasn’t suffered any serious damage.
Having been injured in the win over Nottingham Forest at the weekend, Martin was taken to hospital following his substitution with the worry that he has maybe broken a rib or two given the discomfort he was in.
Speaking to the official site Bacic explained it was the best news possible though.
‘Thankfully Lee hasn’t suffered any fracture or break to his ribs, but they are heavily bruised. He is in a lot of discomfort and we still need to monitor his internal organs such as the kidney and the spleen.’
Bacic ends by thanking the Nottingham Forest medics for the care they provided at the ground, and then Nottingham University Hospital for their ‘outstanding’ care they provided to the player.
