Battling out a second consecutive draw in our pre season preparations, manager Neil Harris has selected a strong starting line up and fans saw the first summer appearance of David Forde between the sticks as well but Wimbledon provided us with a stern test and we could’ve gone behind early on in the match.

The major concern from the day was seeing Aiden O’Brien go down after a heavy challenge and he needed a stretcher to take him to the dressing room so an update on any potential severity there is still waiting.

Just after Kris Twardek has replaced him, our hosts took the lead but we certainly had chances to come back into the game but their keeper saved well or we missed the target.

Harris took the opportunity at half time to give the more senior players a longer run out in the game and our only chance was Archer for Forde.

With a few more changes on the 65 minute mark, the remaining switches took place 12 minutes from time as the gaffer got a few minutes into more youngsters.

With chances falling for the home side, we continued to have a number of opportunities that we didn’t really do a lot with, and as the game came to a close they were reduced to ten men following injury after the subs had been used and that then became nine men as Callum Kennedy became the second player to be stretchered off after he was challenge by Jamie Philpot.

Right at the death Nelson headed home the leveller from a corner.
