Your true stories/ facts / experiences as a wall supporter.

Very long walk from Oxford train Station to The Manor Ground, early80's.
Loads of Wall got off the train and around 20 jumped on a bus, I followed them on, all walked past the driver without paying - He threw a tantrum and said this bus aint going anywhere until you lot pay and got out the cab.
One of the Millwall lot, said fuck him, I drive for London Transport, jumped in the cab and proceeded to drive us the few miles to the ground. The other passengers were going mental as he didn't stop at any of the other stops. We then jumped off and legged it to the away end.
Funny as fuck & a true story.
Superb mate 😁

The fa cup game at Chelsea in 85 was my first real experience of Millwalls firm getting in. It was brutal toe to toe stuff a d nobody taking a backward. We we t with our mates dad's in a lorry. They was jumping out all along the embankment to steam I to groups of
Chelsea. There was Millwall everywhere that evening.

Away to Palace in the Div 1 relegation season (89-90). Loads of wall in the home end behind the goal. Literally separated by a couple of feet of space between the two sets of fans. Pretty sure we went 1-0 early on, then Ian Wright scores 2 in about 5 minutes. Anyway, when their second one went in, one wall lad pulled a pencil out of his pocket and stabs one of theirs in the face with it, missed his eye but about 1/4 inch. Expected it all to kick off, but nothing happened, they all just looked and then quickly looked away. The wall bloke with the pencil just went back to eating his burger as though it was nothing. Still amazes me to this day.

Reading away early 80s a group of local skinheads were bullying a couple of our fans, a couple of older lot ran over and as the skinheads went to have it on their toes a couple of them got caught and held against a shop window. One of them begged to one of our lot, "Mate, I am not here for trouble or for football I am only here because I am going to see The Specials" The reply was "I am not your mate and unfortunately for you I don't think you will be going to see The Specials"

If they did make the gig that evening they would have not been doing much skanking after what happened to them.

Late seventies away to Chester in the FA cup. We lost. Stayed overnight in a posh(ish) hotel in the town centre. Staggering back to the hotel after a good night out we were surprised to find the bar still open. Went in and one of my mates accidentally bumped into a bloke lighting a cigarette. This bloke tries to set light to my mates jumper as a result. We went for him and his mates and suddenly about four huge black blokes jumped in between us and calmed us down. Turns out the bloke was Joe Strummer with the rest of the Clash and they were their minders. The black blokes were great, bought us all a drink. The Clash ( nice public school boys that they were) cowered in the corner behind them.
Always hated them ever since (although I do like ‘London Calling’j.

I remember going to vermins ground week or so after the simod cup victory I wanted to buy the video of the game, went upto there shop asked for the millwall game tape surrounded by full kit wankers, bloke in shop says"what you want that for ,we lost" no we didnt my reply and walked out
Still have the video in a box somewhere if someone wants it

Southampton away a few years ago. Early in the season. Everyone let out together at the end and a few scuffles broke out in the car park. Ob quickly got in between fully kitted up and started dishing out baton strikes to our lot. Not sure if it was deliberate or accidental, but a parked cars window got put in. One of ours released the handbrake and a few pushed it at pace through the Ob line with a small mob following and getting at Soton. Very enterprising I thought, a sort of Millwall Panzer tactic.

Play off final Vs Barnsley. Wembley Way and the bit where it separates into 2 channels with the void in between. Barnsley got quite excited and started lobbing bottles over the gap at us... I don't think they realised that the 2 channels became 1 again about 100 yards further up... They took a clump much to the disgust of some Barnsley women who were shrieking 'Animals!' at us.

I think my favourite memory has to be Highbury when we beat them in the replay, sat right behind the goal 6 rows back, the perfect view when all that tension was undone by Kennedy's fantastic goal, it wasn't just great night of having 5,000 of us turning it into a home game, it was the look of an 80+ year old sat behind me when I turned round to see the mayhem, he looked like he had been watching us for over 70 years and that was the best minute of it.
