Are you missing Millwall already?

Yeah, does seem like a while...

I probably will be missing the 'Wall games in a week or two.
I've had my football fix so far with the Europa League final, Championship Play-Off final. I even watched the Chelsea final the other night.

To be honest, I've enjoyed those games because I've watched them with my two boys. We don't often watch matches together; they usually do that with their mates. Tonight, I'm looking forward to the Champions League final very much.
Again, with my boys. An added bonus, incoming Ruby for the match - Their treat.
:grinning:(y)

I was thinking about how the rest of my day would pan out during my morning walk.
My mind went....Saturday.....Football.....Millwall......oh no :shake:
Obviously, I know some people here who are wetting themselves over tonight's final. BBQ parties organised, big screen tv's etc etc.
Frankly, I can take it or leave it. I certainly won't be paying to watch it. That would just add more fuel to the farce in my book.

August can't come soon enough for me.

What final?

In many ways, the Championship has been 'sanitised' as well, and has been for a while...

- Along with rising ticket prices, Sky, endless live game streaming, ticket allocations, more broadcast and SM attention, inflated transfer fees, sideways football, lack of burnt Onions on the Hot-Dog stalls, over excitable Lurch types and their nob head peers around the country. Teams receiving parachute paraments and taking the piss. Rumours of Arabs taking over Bermondsey. The list goes on and on and is not that very different from all the various Premier/top Leagues around the Globe.
(Just my opinion, of course).

But it's not stopped the Championship from still being one of the best leagues in the World.
:grinning:

Missing it badly. I keep thinking of a front four of Azeez, RBW, Neghli and Ivanovic. Pretty fucking good, that.

I’m missing Millwall so much that I thought (for a moment) of going to my towns pride event this afternoon.

I decided not to go after due consideration.

Only interested in the Championship, gave up watching the other s**t when it was sanitised which was quite a few years ago.
Likewise. I think the championship is a very underrated and competitive division. I did look at the premier table during the week and going by where certain so called big clubs finished up its far from being the best league in the world. It looks to be a very poor league where the lesser clubs can't compete without spending hundreds of millions. Fuck that they can keep it.

Definitely missing it.......bitching , moaning , celebrating .
Surprisingly also enjoyed the 2 European finals so far , probably helps watching them in foreign climes , in a little Spanish bar 🙂More of the same tonight , could well be a very good game.

There's something nice about watching a game where you have no emotional stake in it and don't care who wins or losses.

Never mind sitting on MO gossiping about a European Cup final...
With a lovely day like today, shouldn't you be out protesting in Peckham town centre with all the other Peckhamites?

:grinning: (y)

I’m not missing it…..yet. That’s mainly down to me doing my bollocks in the last few weeks of the season, full on trips to Sheffield, Blackburn and Burnley are not so easy to get over once you get to a certain age. Once the fixtures are out for next season I’ll be buzzing to get down there again.

For now like others I’ve enjoyed the play offs games and will settle down tonight to watch the coup de grace of the season, the champions league final between footballing giants PSG and Charlton. Perfect.

What are they protesting about mate?

I'm not totally sure, I caught the last part of it on the London 6pm news.
It was outside the indoor centre and from what I could gather, they were protesting about some kind of proposals for redevelopment of the place that aren't going down too well.
