Predictive text 🤦‍♂️ Frans Hoek.
:grinning:

That makes sense now. I did a search and these are the first two offerings that came up

You are very generous with your clues mate.
I could have been more generous as it happens. Was going to mention his old man being a pro and or he was south African.

I was a keeper and idolised Bailey when i was a kid. Thought he was superb and at a time when there was some very decent keepers playing in the first division. England were spoilt for choice during that era. Shilton, Clemence, Corrigan and even that Essex tramp Parkes and Burridge were all quality.

I saw Ray Clemence outside the turnstiles years after he retired. I said hello and joked that he'd dropped something- he told me to fuck off :grinning:

On January 14th 1967 a record breaking run finally came to an end.

What was that run and?

Against who did it end?

I need both answers for it to be correct

Next home game was spurs in the cup
Crowd of 41 thousand at the den!! We were averaging 16k back then. We pulled in 20k v the spotters and 28k v the Nigels. Even back then we were up and down on the gates depending on who we played. One week we'd pull 23k the following home game 11k.
