Watford tickets

Don't get the fuss to be honest.
Like anythin else, if you think it's worth it, buy a ticket and go.
If you don't then don't.
The problem with that is that it might be okay in the short term but the club might regret it in the long term.
Missing the odd game can become habit forming, you can get used to it and what happens when 1 or 2 of your crowd stop going so often, one evening it turns out that it is just you going, how many will go on their own, some will say sod it and then we find that the tourists are no longer coming and our once regulars are not so regular anymore.

Just paid £55 for me and the boys West Upper ticket... sure it was around £45 last season??

That plus the membership hike will undoubtedly mean a few less games this season....

Early bird ST is the best option. I’m not sitting in the perfect place but at just over £10 a game I don’t care and can afford to miss the odd game. It’s gone up this season but by peanuts

So true in my case/ experience. Was going every home game for years and years. At one point i hadn't missed a home game in five seasons. Even when i was staying at my place down the coast and getting home after midnight from a midweek game. You don't want to break that run and then all of a sudden it's forced on you and come to realise it's not the end of the world.

I have often questioned my sanity when walking along Ilderton road. The seasons when you know relegation is on the cards, the Holloway era etc. It even crossed my mind that my son might hate me for bringing him when he was witnessing his first relegation season :grinning:

As it happens i did say to him that if he'd had enough that we could do something else on a Saturday for a while. He made me feel so proud when he turned to me and said-- they need us more than ever now dad and we can't give up. Proper proud dad moment :love:

The way that I look at it is back in the day you just went to as many games as you could. There was never a question of how much is it to get in? It was always affordable.
Just bought two Watford tickets for £74 total. I can afford this but can't justify for every home game.
So my point is, price was never previously an issue but it is a factor in deciding whether to attend or not these days and my circumstances have not really changed all that much over the years.
So in real terms it is clearly more expensive to watch football - thank f*ck we're not in the Premiership.
