Not sure I like the odds for tonight’s game . Plymouth 5/1 , the draw 7/2 that’s us fucked 😂

A bit harsh, you make some fair points, some of the subs were not great and we looked disorganised for the last 10 minutes, but the win was a must, however it came. They never hurt us at all until Jensen dropped the ball and it was panic stations.
For disorganised, read shagged out. They gifted us the ball, and we couldn't buy a pass. Gave possession straight back to to them. Most notably De Norre, Esse, and Honeyman. Not for lack of trying, but stamina.
Cooper only would have ducked if Jensen had said it was his ball. No way Cooper does that otherwise.

I think he'll be alright. Looked like a knock but nothing serious. Short trip relatively speaking for you to get to Swansea? I hope we make it worthwhile.
Yes, I thought about coming over to Swansea once or twice before but it's a bank holiday weekend over here so that makes it a bit easier to get away this time. We'll stay over for a couple of nights - Swansea might be close relatively but the ferry times aren't great. My two boys
are coming over as well so it would be great to get a win. A nil all draw would do fine too though.

Summary:
Plymouth started really well first 10 and just weren't really in it. Then Esse started to have an effect. A few minutes later the goal comes. Esse makes a good tackle, bursts forward and then feeds Honeyman who takes his time then lays it back and Esse guides it home calmly.
They had a couple of half chances. Header staright at Jensen, then another high cross which Jensen drops but then gathers on the floor. We created quite a bit down the left with Azeez, and Honeyman getting involved but the final ball was never quite there.
Second half we were control for most of it and gave them nothing really as our shape was really good. Azeez had a golden chance when he broke clear but the ball bounced off his shin and was somehow cleared, he should have scored.
One other chance was from a corner, Cooper heads down, Leonard turns and strikes but it went a foot wide.
Then it was a case of game management and seeing it out for the win. They only had one other half chance where Jensen dropped it again but the follow up went high and wide.
Jensen, sorry but doesn't convince me at all despite the clean sheet. Dropped the ball twice and is worrying with any high balls coming in
Leonard and Tango were great again tonight, gave nothing away at all. Tango starting to lead from the back. Cooper was solid and Bryan did quite well going forward first half but then held back more 2nd half.
De Norre and Saville did what they do well, breaking up play and De Norre being the one who tries to look forward a bit.
Azeez was a real plus tonight both going forward and tracking back, should have scored, but had a really good game all round.
Honeyman just keeps buzzing around all game, breaks up play and a great run and lay off for Esse's goal. Ivanovic didn't really have a chance to affect the game much but kept pressing.
Esse, man of the match by a mile and far too good for this side. He is just a different level. He has now added the defensive side to his game too, which is what led to his goal and such a composed finish.
None of the subs made much of a difference as it was a case of just fresh legs, shutting up and seeing the game out.
Esse has to pass more often instead of trying to make it all on his own.

Another good point Harris made tonight. We've only conceded 5 goals in the last 9 league games.
That's not bad going at all. If only we could turn a few more of our chances into goals...
It's just about getting that balance right.

It's a really good point you make. We have to be hard to beat. It's not sexy football, but it's pragmatic. That's an excellent defensive record and it allows us the platform to build upon. Dare I say it's exactly what Rowett's Millwall teams were all about and that was key to our success under him. We have some quality players that can find the moment to score and make the difference in games.

Yep. A lot of our players were out on their feet with the effort they'd put in. But when it gets like that you have to show character and determination. There's a lot we lack at times, but to a man they left nothing out there. I know it's a cliché to say it, but as a Millwall fan, that's all I want. It makes me proud that the players play for the shirt.

We've played better football in games this season and come away with less points. It wasn't pretty but Plymouth hardly came here to rip up trees. They came to frustrate us. I feel that to go a bit further we need to have that knowhow and some luck to scoring a 2nd goal. Sitting back like that against better teams will not work imo.

I agree to an extent. Better teams will commit more and leave us space. They seemed devoid of ideas and the countless times they had the ball in their own half was never going to hurt us. I think that Harris learnt from us being a bit more open in our first few games and has gone back to the more conservative Rowett approach that is less easy on the eye, but more effective.

We needed a win tonight by any means necessary and we got it. Quite frankly, I don't like us losing 4-3 or 3-2 and being the better team. A scrappy 1-0 or a shithouse 1-0 is fine by me every single time. I'd rather us be a horrible side to play than an easy side to score against.

Said it before on here. Harris runs his pets into the ground and does not prep the alternatives honey man looked 50 when we hit 90 mins and sav was making silly mistakes. And still one up frontcv the worst team in living memory. I am seriously pissed off Neil has no vision beyond survival - and a poor vision of that. Slag if you will but this was poor

only 2 defeats in 9.

A good manager assesses what has gone wrong and addresses it. That's what Harris has done. The first two games were an outlier and haven't been repeated since. A more reflected record of our season so far would read P 11 W 3 D 7 L 1. We were relatively easy to score against in our first two games, although that would be unfair because we probably should and could have won both, but that's what happened. Back to being hard to beat and there is nothing wrong with that.

Worst team in living memory????
You either have bad memory, or you're 7

Sky highlights:

* Penalty decision poor👎
* Linesman’s decision spot on👍
* Jensen’s drop near the end, Cooper backed into him 😞 but should still be claiming these type of cross 👎
