Think it’s game over for the management team.

No leaders on the pitch and the season will pan out with Millwall looking over their shoulders. We must find a target man pronto, it ain’t working for Afobe as much as the effort he brings. We look for a long ball outlet , the opposition have sussed and close us down . As for the new bloke not sure what he brings to the squad already.
Danny Mac , Billy M, are good to have in the team and Burey looked ok when he came on.

Rowett is an analogue manager in a digital game. Football has moved on. He says we weren't good with the ball (again), lack of quality etc. He is the manager. He had all week to prepare them and serves up that? We play dinosaur football. I'm not having that Millwall fans won't tolerate a more progressive style of play. We just sit deep and defend and try to nick a 1-0. We were playing Blackpool. Where is the energy? We don't press, we don't attack, we don't excite. We are not the best team in the league or the worst, but we are so boring to watch.

If Rowett goes, we need to get a young manager with modern ideas because watching that every week is soul-destroying.

Take a gander at who is available, then who you would not want, then those who would not be interested, not much left. So compensation needed and that wont happen.

Steven Reid, anyone?

Knows the club, loves the club, young, fresh. Served his apprenticeship under experienced managers.
Not a bad shout. He knows what it takes to make it at our club. When he first played he got a bit of stick but stuck to it and was one of the best of that generation. I really rated him as a player but can he cut it as the manager?

Regarding our management. Let’s face it. The best manager in the last 20 years took us so far before fucking it off. Jacket did try to get players in to take the step up but ultimately knew we couldn’t complete financially and with the rep. Unless the former changes, at best we are a mid table boring C’ship club. I’m no fan of Rowett but he has steadied the ship since Harris sadly lost the plot.

Agree, but Rowett has a plan a, and it’s appalling to watch. It’s fkin depressing.

Signed a new contract with Forest after they brought in Cooper! Would imagine there would be a fair bit of compensation needed paying to Forest to be able to get Reid - who seems quite happy where he is at the moment!

The Forest supporters love Reid! They have nothing but positives to say about him!

Let’s be honest, no half decent, forward thinking, attack minded manager who is currently out of a job, is going to take the Millwall gig, when he knows how much he’ll be shackled, financially. Fixing certain positions can mean a change of player, and sometimes that can cost a million pounds or more, to get the right player in that the manager wants! That is not going to happen at Millwall, until the chairman and the board pay clubs the asking amount for players they’re interested in, instead of insulting them with ridiculous low offers. Either the price can be met, or it can’t! If it can’t then move on!

If Berylson had had the balls to get rid of Rowett in the summer, maybe Barrett could have been the stop gap until Steve Cooper became available. Yes, he was hated by the Swansea fans, and the football wasn’t good there towards the end of his tenure, but sometimes things just click at a new club, for the manager and the team! When Cooper became Forest manager, they were in the relegation zone and only heading one way. With the same team that was struggling under Hughton, Cooper changed tactics and gave the players a belief. Now, a few months on, they are four points behind Huddersfield who sit in 6th place, with a game in hand over them, and they’re seven points above us!

We need to find a Steve Cooper type manager (preferably one that’s more attractive on the eyes), from the lower leagues! Someone who can do to us what Cooper did for Forest, only on a much smaller budget! These managers are out there, but Berylson has to first see the problem, before he can start to fix it!

I kind off hoped that with Smith gone that the long bal! hoof would go as well, well today proved that theory 100% wrong, hapless punts upfield that I dont think we won 1 Ariel challenge was the order of the day...absolute shite, afobie just not the answer and is too slow in making decisions and his passing skills are zero...so defensive today it was diret and an insult to the 900+ who made the trip...

We could have Teddy and Shearer up front and still draw a blank because for years we haven't had enough quality or the players able to attack and create. You need to get lucky and find a few rough diamonds or spend money we don't have on quality. We'll plod along in this league until we finally drop again, i think our good run in this division has lasted longer than previous spells but won't last much longer.

Crunch time for JB end of the season.
Change the business plan, get rid of kavanagh or relegation is inevitable.
Rowett needs to wake up and realise it’s not working with his defensive plans and with what he’s got at his disposal.
Play the likes of Burey and attack from now on and he might get the majority of the fan base to accept the current squad and financial dilemmas he has to work with.

If we are being entertained and not bored to death he stands a chance.
If not his days will be numbered and he will be forced to go plundering us further in the shit by paying him off.
