The mighty Lions V The Rams of Derby- Match thread Saturday 3pm

Neil was brought back to manage a certain group of players last season and starve off relegation fears. He completed that task with flying colours and cemented his legacy as a legend, both as a player and a coach.
However this season has not gone well, even before a ball was kicked, when he called out the recruitment and direction of the club.
I feel that we need fresh ideas and impetus with a complete overhaul of the coaching department.
Jimmy B is not his father in any way, in my view and November will be an interesting month.

But that is doing something isn't it. I know that's your point,
It is but some will see that as being not good enough. Just by virtue of financial disparity alone i think we're doing okay and would need a hell of a lot of fortune to make the play offs- Regardless of who's managing us unless of course we get very lucky.

I think if you have expectations of the play offs then you'll expect us to win most games played. In my opinion that just isn't going to happen, and again, regardless of who manages us. We're always an injury or two away from a bad run. Squad depth alone we haven't got enough to sustain a run of form required to make the play offs.

Some people will then say well what's the point in being here? Well one answer is we're not in league fucking one playing the likes of Charlton and Swindon. Fuck that. You can enjoy this division without wanting to be play off contenders. Sorry to say it but i believe that is an unrealistic hope as it stands. Blackburn aside the table below is fairly indicative of what we're up against and that money pretty much defines your fate in football, regardless of what division you're in.

Should Jensen have claimed the ball for their goal? He seems reluctant at times to come out out for the ball There was one cross right close to him and he left it. Even the commentator was amazed he didn’t.
So fine margins and individual mistakes have cost us again!.

This time next year we will have a decent profit from Flemming and probably an even bigger profit from Esse, 2, 3 or 4 older players will possibly be off the wage bill and half a dozen young players will have gained experience from having a season in and around the starting XI, so there is no reason to think we won't continue our trend of improving the squad for yet another season.
We have a manager/coaching staff that care about the club as much as we can expect them to and have learnt our lesson that the grass isn't greener with a so called modern manager.
If having all that whilst having our longest run in the Championship ever isn't enough then I can't understand why anyone would waste time on supporting the club, if you can't be pleased with what we have surely you got to look for something else in life to give you pleasure.

People need to fkin calm down. It’s Millwall. We don’t do things easily, it’s all about the long game. By Xmas we will be top half, by Feb we’ll be fighting for top six. Take a chill pill.
It would be a bigger concern if we were playing poorly and not being able to compete. By all accounts we're playing fairly well and should have beat Hull, Qpr, Cardiff and Watford. Our four defeats have been by a single goal margin. We were looking good in front of goal until Coburn got injured. We generally start the season slowly and pick up after Christmas. We are still creating lots of chances and not being outplayed. We have a knack of losing to teams that haven't won away or in ages. It is Millwall after all. Plenty of positives to keep hold of. No need to panic or look for reasons to worry. We'll be sweet.

This opinion was brought to you by- Peckhams positve posts productions.

So wins today make them good? 🤔

It doesn't make them any good but wins got them three points each yesterday,
something we need to start doing on a bit more of a regular basis.

Personally, I think it will start happening with this squad, once a few of the injuries are back. Unless we end up with more injuries and suspensions, of course.

The next five games leading up to the international break look interesting.
If we still tend to get points from the clubs higher, or bigger than us, well here's the chance to carry on the trend and pick up points. They are all above us including two consecutive home games against Burnley and Leeds to continue the tradition:

Strange linesman decision in the 2nd half in front of the Kitchener stand.
Ball definitely went out for a throw to us, he didn't flag, however ball went to their No 3 who thought he had, as the decision was so obvious, and he kicked it out!!!

I’m sorry but I don’t see how anybody can defend the manager after that rubbish. They were dreadful and if we can’t beat shit like Derby we are bang in trouble. Harris just doesn’t seem to me to have any tactical nous at all. If the hoof, run around like headless chickens doesn’t work he doesn’t seem to have any idea how to beat teams
