Can’t work out why he doesn’t start instead of WatmoreI’m like you. Wasn’t at all impressed at first, but rate him highly now. His attitude is exactly what we want from a Millwall player. Good lad!

It was Tanganga that was blatantly pulled down in the area and deffo a penalty, if it had been at the other end he would have given it.
Yep. Sadlier,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,Lucas Neill and Moody weren’t too bad either![]()
Still have a lot of sympathy for him, I'm sure the poor sod missed out on a top career because of his injury.Yep. Sadlier,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Perhaps they feel he'll make more of an impact when coming on against tiring legs? Can’t work out why he doesn’t start instead of Watmore![]()
Yep that’s how I’ve always found them. I’ve mentioned on here before but the mate I went up there with died a couple of years later in a car accident. He was salt of the earth. I always hope they do well, apart from when they’re playing us of courseThey're good people mate. Nothing like the geordies down the road.
He's a psychotherapist now!Still have a lot of sympathy for him, I'm sure the poor sod missed out on a top career because of his injury.
We have much in common with them in. Ports/ docks history for one. Had some of them with us when we had it with the Jocks back in 96. Game as we are mate!!Yep that’s how I’ve always found them. It was Emakhu who was fouled but got up and carried on his run.An apology to Langstaff.
Just watched the highlights back and realised that I made a mistake yesterday. It was Langstaff who played the great ball to Ivanovic leading up to the goal. I'd said it was Bryan.
So, Jensen made the save with his legs, Bryan picked up the ball on the byline, played it to Esse who was fouled on the touchline. Advantage was played as Langstaff collected the ball, great turn past their player and played a wonderful pass to Ivanovic, bypassing 4 Sunderland players in the process. Great awareness and touch from Ivanovic to play in Emakhu, who still then had to beat the defender, which he did, and then a great ball across the 6 yard line with 3 defenders bearing down on him to find Azeez steaming in at the back post to finish.
There we go, corrected. That pass from Langstaff though!!!
Sadlier was such a brilliant player and I was really gutted he had to retire so early. When we played at Hamlet (was it his testimonial?) he was standing close to me and I really wanted to talk to him but couldn't.Still have a lot of sympathy for him, I'm sure the poor sod missed out on a top career because of his injury.

Goooooaallllll
My Sunderland mate, his dad was involved in setting up the London branch of the Sunderland supporters club back in the 50’s. He told me there was a bit of a connection develop when we sold them Charlie Hurley. He told me quite a few Millwall would go and watch Sunderland when they played in London to see how Hurley was doing. I suppose it was in the days before football got really tribal and fans would go to other clubs just to watch a bit of football, and pay on the gate. My grandad was Millwall, but would go to watch football all over London if Millwall was away (or playing shit lol). He ended up going to Chelsea a lot in his later years because he loved the style of football they played back then.We have much in common with them in. Ports/ docks history for one. Had some of them with us when we had it with the Jocks back in 96. Game as we are mate!!
Have heard the same with us and Charlton back in the 60's and 70's. Me and my Wall mates did similar in the 80's but it was for a tear up. Had Walworth based Arsenal/ Chelsea mates ( few of the Chelsea black chaps funny enough) When they had the Vermin, Spurs the Scousers etc we never swerved an opportunity to have a free pop at Pennant and Co at another London game if Wall were away somewhere boring that weekend. They'd show for Wall from time time too. Same coup like it was with Sammons etc with us.. it's the same bloke we're talking about had him pleading " leave football at football"Yeah often with a well respected Wacker that had previously terrorised him. Plus a few of the turkish boys-- all Peckham and who you know well mate. Lucky for us he was always in a good mood so gave us a squeeze. Phew!
