boom boom! They got shot of him
Wasnt he third choice behind our very own George Long?boom boom!
Yes son of a GunnI presume that's Brian Gunns son? He was a good keeper in his day.
They got shot of him
With little Hutch contribution ………Yet we still made 6th place during the last game of the season .............
No thank youAngus Gunn released by Norwich I think.
No you're thinking of his younger brother TommyGunn wasn't fired?
Yes he is. I would imagine we will bring a keeper in and could do worse than sign Gunn. But i will leave that to AN and his staff who will know who they want. Mind you its good to guess!I presume that's Brian Gunns son? He was a good keeper in his day.
Yes, but my point was, if that's what AN thinks is best for Millwall. Then i am happy to go along with that. With little Hutch contribution ………
I think you’ve missed my point totally!Yes, but my point was, if that's what AN thinks is best for Millwall. Then i am happy to go along with that.
After all, he is the manager, the one that got us to the last game of the season into the top 6.................... if it's good enough for him, then ........
Spot on. Great postHow much did Esse go for? The club managed to get him to sign a new contract before selling him for £14 million. These players are told by the club that we wont stand in their way as long as we can profit from it too. Flemming was bought to be sold on for at least double what we paid. Esse all profit bar what it cost us to develop him. The serb is another that we'll turn a nice profit on. We buy to sell on now. We're not buying or getting in ageing journeymen with no sell on value.
Tanganga only signed because of the clause that his people insisted on. We still got a top quality player for fuck all bar his wages. We will recoup that if and when he moves on and have a ready and waiting replacement in Cramer. The club have a clear strategy and are Implementing that whilst turning a profit. We can attract the quality that we'd could once only dream of. Have a bit of faith in those that run the club. We're in good nick and heading in the right direction. All whilst the owner works to make us self sufficient and less reliant on his handouts that saddle the club with debt.
Isn't the storey that we panicked and resigned Hutchinson because Tanganga dragged his feet?I think you’ve missed my point totally!
I’ve no problem AN and Co not offering Saville. I trust them to make the right decision and find a suitable replacement.
The point I was making was last year Hutch was offered a contract when the general consensus was he would play little part in the season and the money could have been used elsewhere.
In short, IMO, last year wrong this year right.
I wonder how much of the decision was down to NH’s influenceIsn't the storey that we panicked and resigned Hutchinson because Tanganga dragged his feet?
Hutchinson was on a much reduced wage and appearance based.
I'd imagine Harris would have played a big part.I wonder how much of the decision was down to NH’s influence
We had Wes, who NH didn’t seem to rate, but, IMO, the season before played better (albeit he had a dodgy period under Edwards) than Hutch and could have played if Tanga didn’t sign.
It is. One of my favourite players, a great battler and wiley old pro. He adapted very well to playing deeper when he returned to us for his second stint. We did miss his goals at time but he compensated for that with his leadership and commitment. I said to my boy that he never really had an off day or bad game. He never hid or shirked a tackle. Was great to watch him talk and guide Mitchell through a games too.Sad to see Saville go, great servant and leader, I wish him well![]()
Maybe the men behind the scenes, that know all that is going on, thought that for the sake of one season, Hutch could do a job, at what ever amount of time that was offered to him and that that would be the cheapest option against the quality of player that he was. So it could have been money well spent.I think you’ve missed my point totally!

I think Gunn would be excellent at Millwall. Just think he is a class keeper.Angus Gunn released by Norwich I think.
