Can’t blame him for wanting to play every game, he would be on the bench for us most games , more of a loss to the club as a vocal leader behind the scenes but it’s time to move forward , I would of loved to see him stay for another year but it frees up the wage bill , likewise Honeyman , not a great player but annoying fkr who bites ya ankles like a jack russel, sometimes you need that bite but unfortunately he don’t offer much else , we need a bit of more from our players with the new style of football we are looking to play.

What a difference 12 months makes.
Last year money was wasted giving Hutch, who in my opinion shouldn’t have been allowed anywhere near the 1st team, a contract while this year Saville, who in my think still has something to offer, is shown the door

It wouldn't have been an easy decision, but it does point towards signings coming in - possibly at a level we haven't seen before. You don't let a talisman leave without having a clear eye on improving this team. Going to be an interesting few weeks.What a difference 12 months makes.

That's very honest and decent of him. He'll be missed, was a good leader and solid professional. I wish him well.

You're not wrong. I was looking at the squad today and we are well short in a lot of areas. There are players with promise, all of whom are not yet ready, some with solid Championship experience and not much beyond that. We have an unreal front four in Ivanovic, Azeez, RBW and Neghli. I trust that AN and the recruitment team know this and are addressing it.
We need two goalkeepers, a right-back, a left-back, a central midfielder and a striker, all need to be Championship quality able to hit the ground running. If I'm being greedy, we also need a centre-back, another central midfielder and a wide player able to operate on both sides. Our club has done well in terms of identifying players and that needs to keep happening.

I've heard we are likely to sign a couple from Chelsea, one of which will be Zak Sturge. Gallen has contacts there so this is very believable.

Why do we need two goalkeepers? Surely one keeper with George Evan’s as back up until jenson is fit again? He won’t be out for the whole season surely?
Agree we need to hit the ground running. Notoriously bad starters we would have made the play offs comfortably if why hadn’t have had the slow start we did.
