Which would seem to confirm my point above? He now seems to be talking about loans over permanent
Maybe, we just can't afford them regardless of who is manager. There is a school of thought that says that decent players do not want to sign for a team with NH as manager.
I’m not giving Harris stick.Maybe, we just can't afford them regardless of who is manager.
Once again Harris takes stick for no reason, so just a quick reminder.
Bart, Hutch, Cooper, Leonard, Saville, Bradshaw, J Wallace, M Wallace, Morison, Romeo, Pearce, Smith, Ferguson, Craig, Marshall, Cahill, Abdou, Meredith.
All good servants to differing extents.
Quite possible mate. Or we can't move on certain players that need to make way for an incoming. I think a lot things with regards to transfers are dependent on many factors that only the player and agent has control of . It only takes one player to move and the ripple effect from that can completely scupper a clubs plans. Same if a deal that's more or less been shaken on all of a sudden breaks down which is quite common.I’m not saying I subscribe to that view, but his comments certainly seem to have changed over the last 2 weeks or so.
At one point he was saying it was crucial to get creative players in before Spain.
I’m wondering if prospective deals did fall through before crossing the line?
Yes, it’s the must play bit that Harris won’t buy into, there’s no reason a player won’t play for Harris, he must have a decent reputation, and anyone who things it’s because of imagined hoofball is wrong, he is beginning to mix it up, as we saw last season. Is Norton Coffey still at Arsenal? I’d get him back and Longman. That would doQuite possible mate. Or we can't move on certain players that need to make way for an incoming. Agents are snakes, far from trustworthy, not known for sticking to an agreement and regularly make false promises. It's a game of bluff for them. They will advise their client to pull out of a deal at the last minute just to get more money for himself and the player elsewhere. I've been told stories of players literally walking out of a CEO's office just as he was about to sign on the dotted line. Can imagine the fallout from that scenario being pretty damaging.
I think we will again get a decent loan in from a premier side to strengthen our defence but even these deals can be tough to get over the line and reliant on movement elsewhere in the market.
Quite often the parent club want to dictate the terms. It's not uncommon for the parent club to insist that their player must be selected at all times. That won't work with Harris and why should it! The player could be awfully out of form but must be selected? He can't be dropped for tactical reasons either? Fuck that.
Have been told he's had a few offers from clubs in Italy and France. I think Arsenal are willing to let him go so i doubt we'll see him again unless they can't move him on a permanent deal.. Is Norton Coffey still at Arsenal?
I think it does have it's benefits for clubs like us and with our budget. We get a decent player that we couldn't otherwise afford. As long as it isn't stopping the pathway for our academy prospects. I agree that it also has it's downside as you've pointed out.I think the whole loan system is farcical and shouldn't be allowed for anyone. prem teams will then stop buying up the best prospects from lower divisions and youngsters at all clubs will get more of a chance
As players join, others realise they wont be in the starting eleven and want to foxtrot Oscar.Neil as said this a few times now, do you think we have a unhappy bunny in the camp?

If we sign another defender I can see the likes of Harding wanting out, although I really like him as a player. Technically very sound and popped up with a few goals as well.As players join, others realise they wont be in the starting eleven and want to foxtrot Oscar.
I wish I hadn't put my post up now P. Seems to have put the cat amongst the pigeons!I think it does have it's benefits for clubs like us and with our budget. That's what forums are for mate.I wish I hadn't put my post up now P. Seems to have put the cat amongst the pigeons!![]()
I suspect JB junior's remit was permanent signings with resale value. It hasn't happened, in forward areas, for whatever reason and now its 11pm and the clocks ticking.
Cheers PThat's what forums are for mate.
