Perhaps but imo we are less attractive than most of the other clubs with whom Barry has been linked.

One obvious difference is that most of the other clubs are in the thick of the promotion fight, which I imagine is more of an attraction to a player - and the parent club - than going to a club who appear to be heading for a mid-table finish. In addition, we are thought of by many of being a long-ball team, which doesn't fit the bill for many clubs today.

We seem to look after our loan signings well, but are all the other clubs mentioned any worse than us in that regard?🤷
Looks like he might not go out on loan, Villa are taking their time to see if he is good enough to stay in their squad for the rest of the season.
It isn't as though we could afford to buy him so not a loss if we don't get him on loan.

Not that it matters but apparently he was at Barcelona before joining Villa. I find it a bit surprising that he didn't join a C'ship side at the beginning of the season.

Leicester look like the could return to the Championship, they moved their tax? year end by 1 day so they could use a loophole to get away with their deliberate overspending in the EPL.
They stuck 2 fingers up to the EFL last season when asked to follow our FFP rules so in theory when they return to the EFL they can throw the book at Leicester as they will have no place to hide, will they have the backbone to give them a points deduction that means promotion would be impossible in their 1st season back with us?

In the same vein Everton would have been looking at a massive points deduction. However, Moyes seems to be pulling them to safety.

They got their house in order and also complied with everything asked of them.
Leicester told everyone to mind their own business and ignored all the rules.

Sunderland beat boro tonight to keep the gap to 4 points to 6th place!
Whoever finishes 5th and 6th might get lucky in the play offs but will have a poor squad for the Premiership, Sunderland have spent big taking a gamble on staying the course with the other 3.

Both 'Boro and Blackburn lost during the last couple of days. We are still four points behind Boro and Albion, and five behind Blackburn. But now with a game in hand over two of them. I believe we still have to play all three?
