remember i think we are in teh top 8 shooting teams in the league. that doesn't come by accident. there's going to be days where it all goes wrong, tonight was one of them. i think cardiff had us sussed from teh kick off. tactics won it tonight and harris should humble himself nad learn.
We got Millwalled- out shit - housed by a bite and bollock team that wanted it more. I've lost count of how many times we've lost to team that ain't won for 37 year and one that hasn't scored in the last 8 year. Step up the Rotherhams, Barnsleys, Wigans-and do the coupon buster against us

Last nights game was lost because our midfield never turned up and we had no link for the defence and attack hence the long balls De norre was trying to get things going but no movement around him we reverted back to our default way of playing which does not work in this league, we had no "bite" in midfield i think young Alfie Massey would have made a difference last night.

I actually thought bringing the Serb on and playing Langstaff off him was a good idea. Unfortunately we couldnt get either of them into the game. Cooper at every free kick has more than run its course and has got to change as have his long diagonal balls out of defence which never find one of our players.
As unlucky as we may have been in some games, two wins from eight without really playing any of the big hitters in the league is a concern. A very bad night for us, still the football has been better to watch than under Rowett and that seemed to be the most important thing, rather than being one of the top ten teams in the division every year

So fucking true. It sums up my 60yrs plus of supporting this fantastic club and supporters!
As you said Peckham, it happens every year, I'd also add Newport and Cambridge to the list as well as Wigan about 6 more fucking times. It's the Millwall way, drives you up the fucking wall but it's as nailed on as turkey at Christmas. The worst team in the league always do us.
One thing someone mentioned last night, Cooper standing like a lamppost fighting at every corner is a waste of time, he needs to be making a run from outside the box. He also needs to stop pulling opponents shirts when they have a corner, been getting away with it for years and saw it twice last night, could easily be given as a pen.
On that note, given our previous with him, i thought Gavin Ward had a decent game last night.

Agree about the midfield link or lack of but what changed after 20-25 mins? The link and cohesion was there and then disappeared. They were misplacing passes which we seized upon and won 50:50 balls and second balls; then it all went south!

Beginning to think I had as well. As well as we played Saturday with energy and commitment, last night was the polar opposite. See NH saying that injuries and thin squad means he's restricted in what changes he can make and I think he has a point to some extent. But that doesn't excuse Coops and Sav slicing the ball out of play when they're trying to play a long ball and there's no pressure on them.I'd forgotten all about tonights game
Dreary game for the most part. At one point in the first half the atmosphere was so flat it felt like one of those during Covid period without fans. Up to their goal they were ecstatic when they cleared a corner which shows how bad their season has been so far.
Despite that and despite some people complaining we don't try things from corners and free kicks, there was a nice play between Honeyman, Bryan and one other from a free kick in the first half that almost resulted in a chance; a free kick from Bryan beyond the back post to Esse rushing in but he missed his kick; corner beyond everyone to Sav beyond the far post to head back across goal for the Esse chance cleared off the line. Not sure I have many other straws to clutch!

Last night's scheduling yet another example of how badly fans are treated. Last train back from Cardiff back to London leaves 9.30 pm so meant most of those who travelled had long car journeys. I'm Bristol based so, after Bristol City, Cardiff is the easiest ground to get to but I only managed to get home just before midnight and no longer have work to get up for. Hope others managed OK
