I would have thought that were we to get in some in this window, it would have been done straight away, because of the length of time we have been without sop many first teamers.

How long has the transfer window been open? I think its only loans that you can take outside of the transfer window.

If we’re not having players that get injured then about 16 players need releasing in the summer

Transfer window opened 1st Jan.
Clubs being busy over Xmas/NY will probably have something to do with the lack of movement, waiting until after this weekend to see how the injury list is before deciding on loans.
When it comes to permanent signings, who can pay big money at the moment? Then you wait for it to filter down to the smaller clubs, who will let a player go before they get a replacement lined up.
The good thing is we now sign players without gossip beforehand so no need to worry.

There are some good players that are not getting game time at their clubs that could be worth a look depending on what the club are after and whether the parent clubs are looking for loans or reducing their squad.

I don't think we need a CB, again depends on how the club view Grant as a good enough replacement.
But, Ronnie Edwards at Southampton isn't getting minutes as is Eiran Cashin (Birmingham) and Tyler Bindon (Sheff Utd).

Full Backs Harry Clarke (Ipswich), Nathan Patterson (RB at Everton) and Bashir Humphreys (Burnley) have not had any significant amount of minutes between them.

Do we need any midfielders or wingers?...Koumas on loan at Birmingham from Liverpool, Louie Barry (suits us as he is recovering from injury and not getting a sniff under Wilder) and Mundle from Sunderland (loan or buy!).

Strikers are always going to be like gold dust...
Leeds have a call back for Gelhardt currently at Hull and top scorer (!?), would come at a price, but statement of intent from us.
Piroe and H Gray from Leeds is another as is Mayenda at Sunderland..I think Damion Downs at Southampton is also out of our price range if say we didn't show interest for Geldhardt...
