Team v Swans

Giving Swansea a miss but will be watching from Belgium :whist:
I read an interesting article today about supporters who never actually go to a match but are so active on the internet (slagging players off) they end up influencing team selection and will end up getting a manager sacked. Can’t help thinking some of this applies to Cooper (who’s never been comfortable on the ball, so it’s nothing new)
Is the five foot eleven Harding a better footballer than Cooper? Probably
Is he a better central defender? No
Or have we all forgotten Ipswich away last season?

I know. Just wanted your opinion on who's the next best option. I liked Harding and think it's harsh that he can't get a game.

I'd love to know.I do wonder if Cooper is being selected due to loyalty rather than ability because i think it's quite clear that Harding is the more capable footballer. If that is the case i think it's poor management in this instance.
I think NH is stubborn and parochial which will ultimately lead to his downfall at Millwall 😞

I doubt any Manager gives a toss what armchair Managers say and rightly so, they have a team of experienced people around them who have been IN the game a long time to give advice if they need it but ultimately its their decisions that either get results or not.

Every club up and down the Country has the same, we are no different.

I doubt NH gives a toss about anyone’s opinion other than his own 🤷‍♂️

Cooper's big advantage - other than his height - is that he is naturally left-footed, Harding isn't. Maybe not as big an issue as playing right-footers at LB, but imo still something to consider.

Cooper and Hutchinson both improved on the ball quite quickly after Rowett arrived. They started to cushion control the ball and pass to feet more as opposed to clumping it up field. It was quite noticeable from where we mooch about in blocks one and two and pretty much in line with the back four. .. I think it was rowetts first game against Stoke???, cooper receives the ball and it was a lovely weighted pass along the deck up to the halfway line, Me and son were gobsmacked, expecting the diagonal hoof.

I do feel for Harding and I wouldn’t be against playing him in place of cooper, but it ain’t going to happen. Harding seems very happy here and seems well liked by the players, whenever you see training videos etc his always got a smile on his his face,

I like Coops a lot as his aerial ability in both boxes at set plays is very important to us. Even if he is used as a decoy he takes two defenders with him and it’s up to the others to make a difference as well. His defensive blocks and the fact he is Captain means he will start. Although I think Harding is also useful. My only doubts over the defence are an aging Murray, shaky Jensen and Bryan who gets caught upfield a lot (you rarely see that from Leonard or McNamara).
