Team v Oxford

Maybe the lights out situation at Fratton Park may have done us a favour. We will certainly be fresher after the postponement and not getting back mega late from Portsmouth. Plus I think it could affect team selection as I am sure that Hutch could be a better bet at CB than Murray. Whatever, they are not in good form having won only one of their last five so they should be there for the taking! Complacency could be our greatest downfall but we certainly have momentum and belief and I do expect a good performance from the team.
No issues with the keeper who is confident and assured and should keep his place. Leonard will be boosted by the captaincy offered for Wednesday’s game and should start at RB, assuming that Hutch is fit to start alongside Tango. The first debate is at LB. If we are looking for a tight defensive display then Danny gets my nod. Sav and Casper are nailed on with Esse on the right. I’m not sure whether Watmore is fit to start so I would put Azeez wide left. Stick with Tom and Coburn upfront. I will be at Oxford to see the game so won’t be back until 5. My Just Back may not appear until 5.30.

My thoughts are,

Jensen
Leonard Hutch Tango Danny
Esse Sav Casper Azeez
Tom Coburn

Subs Roberts Murray Joe Billy Watmore Wintle Honeyman Emakhu Serb

With the exception of Murray, who will be replaced by Hutch, I think he will start with the same team that was meant to start at Portsmouth.
Harris noted Hutch was only absent because of the amount of games coming up and the strain it puts on him.

Silver I have to laugh, with you keeping on about their freshness/tiredness etc. from the 10th November, the day after the stoke game to tomorrow that is 21 days. And in those 21 days they have played 1 game, Sunderland. Apart from the few who had to play in internationals.

If that is all too much for them , then I must be in cuckoo land 😁😁😁

I have no idea what the team will be, particularly after the game was called off.

I don't know if anyone would disagree with me if I said Harding is a far superior centre-back to Murray as things stand right now. Harris obviously sees things very differently, but he sees a lot more of them than me and is also a far better manager than I'll ever be.

A dispersal order has been issued ahead of Oxford United's match against Millwall.

Police said "a highly visible and robust policing operation" will be in place for the game at the Kassam Stadium tomorrow (November 30).
Section 35 dispersal orders will be enacted as a preventative measure to ensure the safety of fans and local communities in the area.
The orders give officers and Police Community Support Officers (PCSOs) the power to disperse individuals and groups of people causing harassment, alarm or distress from the locality.

I’ll stick with my Portsmouth starting 11 of:

Jensen

Lenny, Tanga, Murray, Bryan

George, De Norre, Saville, Azeez

Tom, Coburn

Maybe that will stop everyone rushing to one side of the pitch for goal kicks.

I would take Harding over Murray all day long and do feel sorry for him not even making the squad as apart from one dodgy game I cant remember him doing much wrong since he joined us. I would also prefer Langstaff playing off Coburn over Bradshaw, but as others have said Harris watches them day in day out and the way things are going who are we to argue.
