Swansea V Wall Match thread

Having just watch it back, I didn't notice how brilliant that was by Azeez, he picked exactly the right pass at the perfect weight and I'm so happy for De Norre. He is an unsung hero in many ways but has been tremendous for us this season.
From what I’ve seen of Azeez I’d start we him ahead of Watmore because he has more pace, more control and a better footballing brain.

Apart from that I don’t think there’s much to choose between them 😉

And Watmore’s five goals of course 🤷‍♂️
Both the good thing and the bad thing about Azeez is that he’s a natural (if not like for like) replacement for Esse when we sell him (sorry)

Not sure. He was blowing hard on Wednesday. Surprised me as he’s a young man. Very pleased for him today. The pass to Casper was perfection.

Could be my memory letting me down but my recollection of the goal is that there’s a pass back to the Swansea keeper but Ivanovich follows up and pressures him. So the keeper has to make a rushed pass which gives Azeez the chance to win the ball and pass to De Norre. So unless my memory is letting me down, Ivanovich deserves a bit of the credit for the goal.

All 3 subs contributed.
Azeez didn’t have to win the ball. It was passed directly to him, but he still had lots to do.
One thing I noticed about Azeez the other night is how keen he is to get a cross in as quickly as possible. I think he’ll be an asset.

Couldn’t agree more. I wasn’t sure with his sub appearances before the Plymouth game but he impressed me in that game. More so today, that cross for Casper was perfection.

Ivanovic has a great attitude. If we get him the ball in the right areas he will definitely score goals. It's tough for a young man like that to move to a new country and settle in but he seems to me to be buying in to the Millwall way. I don't think Harris would ever do it but imagine a front two of Coburn and Ivanovic. Nobody would want to play against that.

True but, to the best of my knowledge, it was his first start after recovering from injury so hardly surprising 🤷‍♂️

Wow! And what if he did ? What’s stopping him?

They've only scored 8 and conceded 7 in their 11 games. We have tightened up defensively of late. Everything says this will be a low scoring game or even more likely a 0-0 draw.

My prediction:

Swansea 4 - Ronald (8) Darling (40) Grimes (67) Peart-Harris (73)

Millwall 5 - Langstaff (4) (44) (69) Ivanovic (77) De Norre (89)
You got the late De Norre goal correct robbo!

Indeed, he does...

-And, the Welsh commentator gets a bit suicidal.
:grinning:

To be fair, I did mention it in my "commentary". ;-)

Here's the highlights but unfortunately doesn't show the lead up to the goal you mention. Still worth a watch though! :grinning:
