As a teenager starting my first job, the SLP was essential reading while talkng the bus to work..A couple of decades later it was more of a depressing read although the Millwall pages were the only highlight.

For me the SLP is legendary and much better than the Southwark News

Bought it for many years, to follow the Lions and other local teams, until I could no longer get it locally.

Thought the way they followed the progress of AFC Wimbledon, from 400 turning up for trials on Wimbledon Common, through the lower leagues until they arrived in League 2, was top class

Sad news. Always bought the two editions. Not only was it the place to go for Millwall news, but got my first 3 jobs from the situations vacant section.

Gonna be gutted I won't be able to see a six page spread on the Nigel’s open top parade.
