Saville gone?

Have been told he was offered reduced terms and no guarantee of game time. It's understandable at his age if he wants regular football. You need to be playing to stop the rust setting in.

I loved watching him. I'd follow him even when he wasn't on the ball. He'd be in the refs ear and challenged every decision and 50/50 that went against us. He'd be in his markers ear winding them up, he'd be schooling and talking Billy Mitchell through the game and sorting us out position and shape wise. He certainly had the dark arts off to a tee.

He'll probably get another season or two out of his legs if he drops down a division.
Agree, I used to also enjoy watching his constant verbal nibbling at opponents. I didn't realise he was 32 already; only seems like a few years ago that he was the kid on loan from Chelsea.
I think he's extremely fit; he never has an ounce of fat on him and I think he lives a clean life, so I wouldn't be surprised if he carries on at a good level for a good few years yet. I'm surprised he's dropping down a level to be fair.
Maybe in years to come he will settle more into a holding midfield role, which he could definitely do, especially at a lower level, rather than box to box like he is now.

Whatever, I am really sad to see him go, and I don't feel that way with many players. I wish him all the best for the future.

Sad to see him go, a Proper Wall player & a bit of a cult hero i'd say, L1 will be a cake walk for him, Can only assume we couldnt garuntee him as much playing time as he'd like so can't begrudge him for not renewing.

Will miss his antics and im sure the ref's will be a little relieved he wont be in thier ear for our games now

What do the players do for their money between the end of the season and the end of June?
Is it like skool where you can bring in board games at the end of term?
