RIP a true great

RIP mate, I remember reading him in the day. My daughter in law collapsed and died on Tuesday evening of a heart attack, 38 years old, so this week has not been a good week all round.

Sorry to hear this. RIP.

Brian wrote the screenplay for the 1966 World Cup film "Goal!" A great film written by a great journalist.
I have seen it numerous times, first time not long after it was released. I still get emotional watching it.
I recommend every English football fan should see it whatever their age.

An absolute Titan in his field.

I cant help thinking seeing those plastics spastics banging their drum dressing up the same, acting hard, and singing fucking nursery rhymes yesterday and the likes of Eni ALuko being allowed a platform to spout absolute Telly Tubby like opinions on the game that when we lose people like Mr Glanville and we as fans are nw treated like the last of the fossilised relics , the game is missing something!/

Its as though everthing that was authentic is now being lost.

I have to console myself today that at least i got to read more than a few articles written by Mr Glanville in his pomp and was about to experience and witness when supporting a club was standing and if need be fighting for your community, not posturising and trivialising everything.

Sorry Rant over. Not everything gets better over the course of time.

RIP To Mr Glanville and thoughts away from my rant to his immediate family and friends. In time i hope you are ready to rejoice in what he acheived and how his influence and most of all respect for him spread far and wide.
