Relegation odds

constructive dismissal, effectively. There were continual moans he wouldn't play the young players, didn't like the players that had been bought and wasn't allowed to get the players he preferred.
Not what Harris told someone on here.

Early days still, granted, and I'm not going to get too carried away, but with things settling down at present and some decent recruitment up until now, plus possibly a couple more before the window closes on Monday - I think Gallen has some credit in the bank at the moment.

Neil Harris leaving when he did, left a bit of a depressing dark cloud over the place, but to me, currently things are starting to look up. There seems to be some useful players starting to emerge and possibly more on the way. We might actually be moving forward with a bit more entertainment about us.

I certainly have a bit more belief in it all. I think AN and the players have done fantastic recently to drag us away from the smell of the drop zone and given us a bit of breathing space. Even more remarkable considering the terrible bad luck we have had with so many injuries.

I still shit myself when we go a goal up. It seems that all we do is punt it up to their defence and they get to go again. If Tanganga doesn't get player of the month/year for all the times he's saved our arse (and the rest of the defence of course) then....
Yes, there's improvement and although we're down to bare bones on the bench the players are giving 100% and as a Millwall fan, that's all I ask. Still a long way to go and I'm happy with the last results obviously but a couple of loses and we're back where we started. It's a REALLY thin line we're walking at the moment.

A couple of losses and we will not be back where we started. We have taken 7 points from the last 3 games and that is a huge step towards safety. It is not inconceivable that safety could be secured in the next 5 games. Teams in the bottom 3 would kill to get 7 points in their next 3 games.
Or in Plymouth’s case ANY points from the next 3 games!

Ignoring Edwards our last 3 managers have been NH, GR and NH with the players conditioned to defending deep and launching clear. It’ll take a while but I think AN will gradually adjust the team’s movement off the ball under pressure and we’ll see an improvement. Some of our breakout play in the first half was excellent with the buildup to the goal being the cherry on the cake 👍

It's interesting that since AN arrived, all of the goals have come from open play, apart from Honeyman's. That was the free kick from the halfway line that dropped into the box. The only header :grinning: was from the Serb in the Cup.

From the nine goals scored under AN - Seven (Eight?) were from open play. I can't remember how the cup header materialised. Was it from open play, or a corner/throw in?

Sheff Wed – Honeyman/Wintle
Daggers – Ivanovic/Casper/RBW
Cardiff – Scanlon/Casper
Luton - Ivanovic
Pompey - Ivanovic

A good observation but we really need stats from the past three seasons and a graph to really be sure on this point*

Could it be that we let Esse go is because the club knew they had a star in the making in Bangura-Williams ?
Based on what I’ve seen so far I think RBW has better vision and can pick a pass better than Romain, tracks back better and more solid in the tackle, excellent close control but perhaps a little short of Esse’s.

I like him and don’t think we will feel the loss of Esse as much as we were expecting.
