Qpr V The mighty Lions- Match thread- 12.30 KO

Some massive plus points today on reflection. We were so good today. Langstaff was excellent, some of Esse's play was exceptional, Watmore is a goal machine, De Norre impressive again and Tanganga is different class. The best defender in the division for me.

To only have one win on the board when you consider our performances is frankly ridiculous and purely down to us not taking our chances.

How can old age be an issue if you get discounted tickets?
I would have thought being younger was an issue if you are paying full price.
But us young uns can remember who the current scapegoats are and what day of the week it is and whether I had breakfast or not.

Frey got away from Cooper far too easy and Tanga responded a bit late. Although, saying that, the two Rangers players broke at speed and made it look easy. A good goal from their point of view.

Harris has changed a bit tactically and we are generally playing higher up the field. Unfortunately, when Bryan is up field more this leaves Cooper vulnerable to pace when teams attack at speed.
I understand Tanga can do no wrong but Cooper had to go towards Dembele and Tanga should have gone with Frey and, if he had, would probably have prevented the goal 🤷‍♂️

We deserved to win but good away point and performance, Langstaff impressed me he will get goals, Watmore still working hard and scoring for fun , lovely assist from Langstaff, Casper just getting better and better Man of the Match again for me , Cooper is wasted going up for corners it costs us every time almost, Esse won important free kicks and had decent game , will Honeyman ever score? and we need a different fk taker, some good football played today we will be ok but we need a few wins soon, plenty to be optimistic about imo,
Honeyman has had 3 stonking chances this season and failed to convert all of them.

NH won’t do it but, I’ll be tempted to play Esse as the 10 and had a bit more strength to midfield.

I didn't advocate Tanga can do no wrong and I did say Tanga responded a bit late.
:grinning:

Conceded 2 goals in 4 games since Tango came back. Arsehole unlucky again today. Not slating anyone, but honestly we're not far off being a right handful of a team
We look very decent. I’d back us to win anywhere. If Serbio big man turns out to be a star, we’re in for a very good season. Whatmore, Esse, Can’t score but works like a donkey Honeyman are all handfuls. Absolutely loving this team.

If Flemming is worth £7m, Esse must be at least double that.

£15-£20 million. Premier League teams are looking at him already. Some of the things he did today were head and shoulders above anyone else on the pitch. What I like about Esse most of all is that he is humble, he has his head screwed on and has been very well raised. He is a credit to his family. He is one of the best young players I have ever seen at Millwall, bar Teddy. Mark Kennedy was good but Esse is a level or two above.

Current ones, Bryan (sh*tty hair style) and Jensen (headband). Common theme? 😉
Now now Vidal. All that's needed is a wee bit of tactical tinkering and we'll have two dead birds and only one stone. You'll thank me for this. Here goes- Jenson abdicates the headband and gives it to Bryan who can then cover up his shitty barnet. You're welcome!
