No more 4-4-2 for Harris

“Playing a 4-2-3-1 system has been unbelievably successful for us, gave us the second-most points in the Championship and one of the most in Europe [since Harris returned as head coach in February]. So why rip it up and start again. But to have options to start or come off the bench, is hugely positive for us. Everything is about profile of players."

You can't argue with that for a reason not to use a 4-4-2 system.
Maybe 4-4-2 is his plan B these days - Something he was criticised for not having in the past.
:grinning:

Coburn coming back will be a game changer. Its nice to have options for a change. I would like to izzyovansovicyski getting at least 30 mins. Nice to pair him with watmore, conditions allowing. Two players who take the ball forward aggressively.

Agreed. Dispite Rowett’s success (and it was) I was baffled by his squads. You look at the squad now and their are options on how we set up, good competition in most positions with the ability to change from balance, attack or defend.

All about formations! Last few weeks when we've been looking to keep it tight NH has brought on Hutch and gone to 5 at the back. This week needing to win looked like it was 3-1-6 at the end. 4-4-2 so last week ;)
