Apart from his goal at Leeds my favourite Jimmi Abdou moment was at home to Birmingham when they hammered us five or six nil. In the dying minutes Birmingham went through on goal once again and their striker rounded the keeper to slot the ball home but dear old Jimmy had made a lung bursting run from the half way line to try and stop the inevitable nail in the coffin.

He couldn’t prevent the goal and went sliding into the net on his arse in the pissing rain but it summed up his whole attitude, he wasn’t the most talented player we’ve ever had but fuck me what an engine. Really lovely fella as well if you ever met him.

Bremner was a real Millwall type player. An early favourite of mine.

He was, scored in eleven consecutive games and 21 for the season if my memory is correct. I think that record still stands.

George Graham signed him. He was a right-back and was converted to striker and scored nearly 30 goals when we were promoted in 1985. Him and Fashanu were a great combination.

started there, was part of the FA Youth Cup winning team in 78 that was dubbed team of the 80s.

Was a Forward as Youth player, played Midfield and Right back as a utility player.
