Some speculation from Richard Cawley that we might be interested in a permanent deal for him. He has a year to run on his contract with WBA. I’m not sure he has enough attacking qualities for me to want him back. Great engine and great at breaking up the play but can he hit a defence splitting pass or score a goal? A bit too much like Billy?

Not a priority position at the mo as wingers and perhaps a tall target man are needed so financially it might be a non runner.

We have Honeyman, Billy and Casper in centre midfield but we do need to start looking to the future as Sav is not getting any younger. Massey may be the answer but Molumby would certainly be. Cannot see it happening at this point but if we did and sent Massey (who looks very useful) out on loan I’d be happy. It would give us the option to set up with a defensive diamond midfield 4 and utilise them to close a game out.

Would rather ease the young lad who came on last knocking yesterday into the 1st team.
No thanks we have Alfie Massey who will be twice the player but to get there he needs game time, I hope Harris gives him that game time sooner rather than later.
I agree. There has to be a clear pathway to the first team squad for our young ones/ those that come through from the youth system if they're good enough. Otherwise there is no incentive or point in coming to us.

He offers very little in attack by way of assists or goals.

Exactly.Massey could either end up being poached by a so called better club or drift into obscurity.

Reasonable right hook as well.

I bore my boy to tears with the Alex Rae thing every day! Probably wrong but I thought he was the best player I saw in a Wall shirt! The boy just sees Rangers no 2.

Rae cost only £100,000. Unreal bit of business. Rioch's assistant, Ian McNeil had an incredible eye for a player. He also picked out Chris Armstrong for next to nothing.

I would love us to sign Molumby. Giving it to the Charlton fans after the last minute winner and proper mugging off Charlie Adam’s are my best memories of him. If he comes in then he is better than any other holding midfielder that we have so maybe we would need to move someone on. He would improve the team from the outset.

He is far more athletic than any of our current central midfielders. I think he could be very effective alongside De Norre as he has the legs to do more of his running.

He's gonna cry in a minute ,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Smith came on as sub on 86 minutes :grinning:

The spotters that were doing the cut throat signs at us in block one slumped into there seats when that went in. One was nearly in tears.

😂😂

That night was really funny on so many different levels. Especially after watching a few of their Vlog videos.
😁😁

In fairness to Charlie Adams, he did applaud Molumby as he galloped of in the other direction with the ball at his feet. Quality piece of play
