Excellent Poplar, well done!
Cheers Poplar. Top work
All of this. Top notch @Poplar Lion as ever and much appreciated mate. I know we have a few older posters/ fans, some overseas / living at distance and others that can't make it to games due to ailments so your detailed updates on matchdays are a real godsend and of great value to manyGreat stuff Poplar and really appreciate the updates.
“Some are really bright and pick it up really quickly and other players you have to be patient with.” So some are ‘thicko’s!Just watched the game back and after match interview from Harris. My guess, and it's just that, is that there are some certain starters for our first game. Jensen, McNamara, Leonard, Cooper, Bryan, Saville, De Norre, Honeyman, Flemming and Bradshaw.. Harris made a point of praising Leahy and Massey too. Massey is very impressive as an individual both in terms of mentality and ability.
My total guess for the starting XI v Watford is:
Jensen
McNamara Leonard Cooper Bryan
Esse De Norre Saville Honeyman
Flemming
Bradshaw
That is maybe not the most exciting team on the planet but it's solid as fuck and not an easy side to play against.
Bang on RobboNeil Harris welcoming our travelling fans before the game says a lot about the man. That's a touch of class, a small gesture that means even more to those he met and shows he cares. How many other managers would do that?

Will Leonard replace McNamara when Tanganga is back or do you think he will provide cover in the midfield?
Albeit on the left I thought McNamara finished the season well. Can't take away how well Leonard played at RB though.
Nice to have these problems to think about.
It was posted earlier in the month the Notts County manager said Langstaff was “ferocious in the press” which would suggest he is a workerHarris has said Leonard doesn’t want to play in midfield if he doesn’t have to, that position seemed to bring on most of his injuries. I am worried about our new striker his not a worker like Bradshaw but a goal poacher which is great when you get the service like he got at Notts. Now we must of known this when we bought him and hopefully there’s still a few incomings to help him get these goals.
Thanks all. Never sure whether to do these updates as don't know if they are actually helpful or just plain annoying. All of this. Top notch @Poplar Lion as ever and much appreciated mate. You'll only be annoying when we lose. Thanks all. Never sure whether to do these updates as don't know if they are actually helpful or just plain annoying.
The thoughts in them are purely just my views on the games having followed wall for 55 years. Some will agree with them, some won't.
Happy to do them in future for the games I can't attend if people on here want me to. Just don't want to become any more annoying than I already am.
Hope his right Purley, because we need more goals this season, if we want a stress free oneIt was posted earlier in the month the Notts County manager said Langstaff was “ferocious in the press” which would suggest he is a worker
Perhaps, with it being a friendly and pre-season, you didn’t see him at his best![]()
Can you shut up mate!?Thanks all. Never sure whether to do these updates as don't know if they are actually helpful or just plain annoying.
