Why he don't get called up to the England squad is beyond me

But then If he were to pick the right players In the right positions In the first place he wouldn't have to bring about the changes when the Inevitable happens.

It may be because neither Smith nor Bennett can do 90 minutes.

I like the geezer but Smith can just about do the last 10 minutes. When he starts we are playing with 10 men and our performances look like It. Bennett I presume Is still not 100%. I know his record of 90 minutes Is something like 5 games but he can surely do 70 without concern. It would make more sense to start with Bennett and then bring Smith on for the last bit Instead of starting with someone who goes from 0 to 60 slower than Rik Waller on a tractor.
