Last Post from Millwall yesterday

When my dad passed away, due to his military service his regiment (Blues & Royals) sent a soldier to play their regimental march when the hearse arrived at the cemetery. .

During the eulogy I thanked those from the regiment for coming and the honour bestowed of the trumpeter playing which my dad would have loved.

Afterwards at the wake I was talking to various army people when, I was later told was a major came over to me and said young man that was a great speech for your father but I must put you right it was a bugler and not a trumpeter.

It always makes me smile when I hear about trumpeters and buglers that little story.
