Another game we should have won 😞

Several positives but lack of composure in and around the box our downfall.

Esse came of age today. A class performance 👏. That’s the good news, the bad news is he won’t be playing for us next season 😢

Langstaff energetic, good movement.

The Serb promising 15 minutes. Likes to put himself about👍

Poor goal to concede. Some will blame Bryan but they went 2 against 2 with Cooper and Tanga and won 😞

They’re warming down at the moment and I’m the last one in the upper tier 😉

I’M BACK

Best footballing goal we’ve scored in ages. QPR opened up by slick passing and movement down the right, Honeyman’s clever dummy and clinical finish by Watmore 👏

Tanga was excellent bar his, combined with Cooper, inability to stop the goal.

Cooper stood up to the Frey animal but he should have taken out Dembele in the build up to the goal.

A confident performance from Jensen. Gathered several crosses cleanly, read the game well and no chance with the goal. There was an inswinging corner that evaded everyone in the 6 yard box (ala Watford’s goal). Looked like he might have been blocked off but something that needs to be addressed in training.

Three free kicks just outside their box never looked threatening and didn’t trouble their keeper. Surely, we can come up with something better than we’re currently delivering 🤷‍♂️

Cooper headed several set plays back but no one anywhere near to tuck in. Again, something to be worked on in training.

De Norre played well again, especially defensively, as did Saville. As they play more together I can see them becoming a very effective central midfield.

Thought QPR were poor and, for the life of me, can’t work out how they’ve only lost once this season 🤔

In summary, an encouraging performance.

I know I’m “old school” but they really are brainless :shake:

More frustrated with this result than last weeks.
QPR didn't really offer much and we had chances that were wasted.
Not a bad display by all those involved and MoM for me was Esse.

Need to do better with corners, free kicks and crosses although Bryan's one late to the back was the kind of crosses I'd like to see more of.

Neil’s take on it :

Millwall boss Neil Harris told BBC Radio London:

"I thought we were the better team, and for long periods we were really, really good, I think you’ll find that QPR’s possession was mainly in their own third.

"I thought we dominated the final thirds and created enough chances to win the game. The one place we let ourselves down was being too open down our end.

"I’d use the phrase glass half full today. We were creating chances, but I think we just need to be a bit more clinical."

I thought we were really good today and I’m enjoying Millwall properly again. We look direct and knock the ball about nicely, and we now have the right personnel in key areas. Harris has got them well drilled and is clearly evolving as a manager. To see Esse slowly become the player we all hoped is a sight to see. I honestly think we will absolutely hammer someone soon. Proper away end as well today.

I'd add to what has been said, look at the bench then add Mitchell , Harding and Coburn.
That looks like a squad that keeps us progressing this and next season, if only we had a manager that knew what he was doing.
