First wall game 1977 v crystal palace at 13 years old which we lost. Big brother Chelsea fan but mum millwall. Brother dragged me all over the London clubs especially Chelsea but mum said go to wall which I did but it wasn't till I got older and left him to it. 60 now so a long time ago.

Don’t remember my first game, 1965/66 ish on my old man’s shoulders.
First memories around 69/70 Benny Fentons team. Had a few seasons off from time to time due to other commitments and the disappointment of leaving the old den. Sixty next week so seen a bit like most of the old bastards on here.

Oi! Not so much of the 'Old!'

71/72 season, strangely remember going to Watford away, won 1-0, Gordon bolland penalty I think.

That was one of my favourite seasons. It didn't quite work out in the end, but still very enjoyable along the way. There were some outstanding performances and results as well.

Our season was over with us in second place, which meant all trotting over to Leyton Orient on a sunny Tuesday evening for the infamous 'bomb scare' O's vs Brum game...
:grinning:

1969/70 season was first one my dad started taking me to, I was five, Charlton was first game, I remember being shocked that nobody was commentating and telling me who was who, I soon picked the names up though, funny all the names of the Charlton players appeared to be swear words though.
My old man moaned as he had to go in the main stand and sit down, I think it was only for a few games though and then we moved to where he had always stood on the corner between the CBL and the halfway where all my uncles stood and did so right up until they seated that bit and made it a family area.
I have said before when we moved to the new ground he hated it and think he only ever went about three times. Maybe he would have got used to it like we all have, but that was my old man for you, stubborn as they come.

First game in 1965 at home to Swindon. We won 1-0.

The next two games I saw were at home to Watford drew 0-0 and home to Reading we won 3-0. So my first three games I saw we didn't concede a goal.
