Gary Rowett

Surely the players must get together and say to the manager.… look boss we know you are a stubborn shite and you like to defend all day long but we have enough good defenders you don’t need 8 On the pitch. We really don’t like this boring approach and in case you have not realised we need to score to win. The fans hate it too and we won’t attract new ones playing like this. Can’t we just go out and express ourselves in a formation we like with players who can attack. It will be much more entertaining for us and those watching. When we go two up we can park the bus then. How about it boss - just give it a try.

Don’t park the bus at all - keep attacking

The trouble with Rowett is that he started well and even said in one interview that he was told Millwall fans wouldn't put up with a team passing it out from the back and he thought that was rubbish - which it is. We have regressed completely since then.

Last season was dire, but considering our paucity of attacking options and the lack of crowds I put our lack of intensity going forward down to that.

The interview he gave after today's game was basically Neil Harris. Saying we weren't good enough and that he wants a "Millwall" performance from the team. Sounds good but is basically a load of hollow bollocks.

I'll tell you what Millwall fans want. A brave team, brave players and a brave philosophy, however it comes. It can be direct, silky, simple, intricate. It can be hard to beat and dull. But it needs to be done with conviction. If we are going to be hard to beat then make the team nasty, snapping into tackles, horrible to play against, winning headers, physical, a handful, totally committed, energetic.

We are passive. Apart from Kieftenbeld, there is barely a tackle in the rest of the team. That is the problem. Not necessarily tactics or formations. It's attitude.

GR sets us up too defensive and the club are not ambitious enough.
Not sure which championship club would go for him but it won’t be Fulham
Defo want Jed to stay as he sets up or scores most of our goals
That is why we get shit appointments like Drawett, simply because the club won’t spend more dosh on better players and better managers.

I can’t think of one ‘name’ manager we’ve had over the years that’s come to us with a great reputation - someone that supporters from other teams would have gone, “Fucking hell, Millwall have got —- as their manager!”

We’ve always bought our managers on the cheap! Granted, the best managers are usually always taken by the best team - but the club needs to think a bit outside the box - why not hire a foreign manager? Plenty around, and some, like the Dane, Thomas Frank, have got Championship sides like Brentford, into the Premiershit!

Don’t think the players give a shit to be honest! Win, lose or draw, they’ll still be getting their £10,000 a week!

If they were being paid on performance related appearances only - they’d be paying the club money! 🤣

It's his attacking tactics.....playing high long aimless balls to Beni is not working by any stretch of his imagination.....did not win 1 ball in the air today and never looked liked it either....needs ball to feet....can't rely on jed every game....went missing for long periods even though we were
the better team......score line flattered them.....do not see what direction this team is playing or going but it needs to be addressed sooner rather then later

If things don't change within the next 5/6 games then we are in for a long hard drawn out season near or at the bottom of the league.

Jed has always stipulated that he is happy at Millwall and if he will not sign a new contract then we have to assume that something is not right within the team, club or management. TBH I can see him leaving.

One of the biggest mistakes Millwall have made within the last 10 years is letting Callum Davidson go. Since he has left our defence has not been the same, along with our overall play. Solution.....Get him back but this time as.....our manager.

Jed will go because he will double his money, That doesn't mean he's not happy at Millwall, The club have a choice, Give him what he would earn elsewhere or let him go for nothing, JB must look at our attendances and wonder why he bothers, We are a poorly supported club whose crowds are similar if not worse than some club's in Division 1,All this great support talk is a myth, People wanting the manager sacked yet they watch the games on the telly, How many on here ask for streams when we are at home, Let's get realistic mid table will be a good season.

I think football will suffer in attendances because of the covid business. Cinema's are also having a dreadful time in attendances, restaurants are still half empty. That's without the kneeling crap that's put people off. People have changed their habits and lifestyle and after 18 months or so. Sad but part of life to what's been going on.

Has anyone made an offer for Jed ? because for all the talk of how good he is supposed to be i cant remember an offer being made.

Can't agree with some of that especially re restaurants, had lunch out myself this week and the place I was in was banged out, also had the misfortune to be up the Kings Road on Friday, fuck how that has changed since the days of the Drugstore and Birdsnest, but all the pavement cafes and restaurants were double busy. Maybe people go out more during the day than night time because of covid.??

At the moment mid table will feel like getting promoted.
Got to be realistic we are limited in all aspects of the club, and with GR having a very negative approach to playing football that's not gonna change anytime soon.

Only Jed will know the answer to that or
those close to him, At 27 he will have 1 last
major contract offered him next summer
Will he get a Premiership team, no. What
promotion seeking Championship side would go for Jed? He enjoys it at Millwall but could he get a few more grand a week elsewhere
