Has been a problem for sometime. Also, when was the last time we scored with a shot from outside the box?

I think Lenny’s strength is blasting shots at pace rather than bending/curving over/around a wall.

Perhaps Saville and Bryan are the best of a bad bunch when it comes to free kicks

Anyone here remember away back when 'Arry Boy would stand near the penalty spot on facing away from the goal. The free kick would be aimed at his head and with a slight neck swivel the ball would change direction and completely wrong foot the goalie and it was in the opposite corner! Saw this more than once watching from the Cold Blow end towards Ilderton. Oh Happy Days!

saville definitely needs to stop taking free kicks when in range as he either shoots it into the stands or he has to take so much pace off it to get it on target that its catching practice for the keeper

I thought that too... they should at least get them on target in case the goalie fumbles it.. it still has a chance of going in... off target will never have a chance.

I miss Flemming taking every free-kick and fucking every single one up by a country mile despite practising them before the game.

The best free-kick taker in terms of shooting directly at goal is Bryan. He has a proven track record of it.

I always remember when I was a lot younger, my old man told me you always give free kicks, to any opposition player that got near me. He watched me getting beaten by a fast player and I raised my elbows in running and "accidentally" hit the player in the face.
