Footballs systemic failings

It will never change , we must be the only industry apart from politics who reward people / teams for being absolute shite and as the Premshit really run the game it suits them to have the same yo-yo teams as it strengthens the just better teams to beat relegation ,

I think Kavanagh's importance to the club is under estimated, invaluable to our owner in the short term and his position on the EFL board in the long term.

I don't think it a coincidence that we have started to try different things to increase our income since he joined the EFL board, new membership schemes, more away fans attending etc, due to his being part of discussions to set the limit of 70% of income can be spent on wages.

The current situation of the premiership trying to keep as much for themselves without having Independent governance forced on them is going to be interesting over the next few months but we need to remember that whilst we complain about premiership tv money not reaching us, our EFL money doesn't reach the divisions beneath us.

Imo salary cap the only way to level the playing field, although about as likely as me winning the jackpot on Euromillions.
They have tried that. There are so many loopholes in any salary cap it's not worth a light.
As long as greed remains the prime motivating factor in football, we're fucked.

I have to say it is an emotion I struggle to understand. Why do you need a massive house with 10 acres of grounds? Why do you need 2 supercars?
Simple answer is you don't. End of story.

They have only tried a salary cap within the context of financial fair play i.e. limiting clubs to paying no more than 70% of their revenue as salaries. However, imo all that does is reinforce the status quo. What is needed is a flat-rate cap similar to US sport. For example, each NFL club cannot spend more than $224m this season.

Unfortunately, it will never happen. Firstly, the clubs, leagues, FIFA and UEFA will never agree to it. Secondly, it would have to be implemented (at least) Europe-wide which is all but impossible to do.

Is this from experience?
If you mean have I met greedy people, yes I have.
I have never had a supercar, though I have driven a Ferrari. But, I never wanted to own one and I have no jealousy whatsoever for anyone who does.
Having said that to drive one on a track, as I did, was absolutely Fucking awesome.🤪🤪🤪🤪

There will never be a notts forest who went up won the league and then the European cup twice now you get in the champions league if you finish 4 th what’s that shit about your not champs of anything ,
I’ve lost the plot on football, it’s fkd
Love the wall but don’t enjoy going anymore , to expensive stewards who need a slap, it’s not for me , unless we get the vermin swines in the cup !!! Never happen as even that is fixed

Parachute payments are to cover the pay of the current squad for the term of their contracts. But clubs use it to add to their squads. If they dont yoyo in 2 seasons their in the cart. The prem should make sure the money is used as intended.
