FFS, I can't get to night games, so that's Leeds and Sheffield United bollocksed
Probably why the club have got ticket master involved, knowing alot of regular support won't be able to work with the KO.time changes??A lot of people will struggle because of work commitments and a fair few of our fans live quite a way away so that's them fucked as well.
Obviously, I hope we have a good season, but my ST is getting too pricey, missing 8-12 games a year because of Sky and interfuckingnational breaks every 2 minutes is going to turn me into an armchair fan after this season, as much as i love the clubA lot of people will struggle because of work commitments and a fair few of our fans live quite a way away so that's them fucked as well.
These were already night games but just changed from Tuesday to WednesdayFFS, I can't get to night games, so that's Leeds and Sheffield United bollocksed
I just don't pay any attention mate! These were already night games but just changed from Tuesday to Wednesday
Plus being a midweek/ school time means less kids being able to attend. The TV money might compensate for the drop in attendance but it can't compensate for the lack of atmosphere.A lot of people will struggle because of work commitments and a fair few of our fans live quite a way away so that's them fucked as well.
'Suppin' with the Devil and all that.At least we are not getting the 5.30 K.O.times yet..
It's because the club have been given an extra 4m, money matters, fans don't.Fkin disgraceful. How can you support a team when all the fixtures keep changing and end up lunchtime or evenings. Fkin joke.
Funnily enough mate, I agree, I just can't there on a work dayI prefer the midweek evening games. Finish work, straight up town, couple of beers and to The Den. I get its harder for people to commit, but under lights is my favourite time to watch football.
The only thing I would say to that is that Millwall did not decide alone to take the Sky money. The whole league decided. It's because the club have been given an extra 4m, money matters, fans don't.
Some of my best memories/ favourite games tend to be night games. Old den under the lights and a big crowd was something else. That cup run in 85 still clear in my memories.I prefer the midweek evening games. Finish work, straight up town, couple of beers and to The Den. I get its harder for people to commit, but under lights is my favourite time to watch football.
Makes you wonder whether a season ticket or membership becomes viable. Lucky if I’ll get to a dozen games this season if these are the kick off times.Plus being a midweek/ school time means less kids being able to attend. The TV money might compensate for the drop in attendance but it can't compensate for the lack of atmosphere.
It’s a business decision which I understand, but it’s killing the working class supporter even more than it already is. My games will go down again to maybe 10-14, when I’ve always managed 20-24. It will be the same for many, so it to be the slow death for the average supporter. Nice way to treat your hard core base that’s been there forever. The only thing I would say to that is that Millwall did not decide alone to take the Sky money. The whole league decided.
I’m not saying there was no greed involved, but once you are in a club or in this case league, you have to go with the majority.
The advent of the moody firesticks already effect midweek attendances and more so in the winter months. Will be interesting to see if there's a noticeable drop off on the gates with this new TV deal.'Suppin' with the Devil and all that.
The proof of the SkyTV pudding will be in the eating. The TRUE attendance figures for the affected games, reduced atmosphere, lower spend on booze, food stalls, club shop compared to TV income. Not just us either. A lot at stake all round.
