I can’t quite understand the point of playing a lot of established regulars……aka Southgate's mates….. against a team who are ranked 171 in the world. We have qualified and so win lose or draw we are in the euros whatever. If you really need to see whether some of your younger squad could step up next summer then give them a game and find out. Tell them that this is their game to shine and show us what you can do and force your way into the squad next summer.
Instead he plays some whose days are nearly over and who have played loads of games for us so we already know what you can and cannot do. Others flatter to deceive and don’t deserve a starting place. Gallagher and Tomori fall into that category and Maguire and Henderson are fast running out of shelf life. The only one who had a solid 90 minutes as a comparatively new recruit was Guehi.
The crowd got completely miffed and threw endless paper planes onto the pitch in disgust. I see at the end that Gareth says that this is not the place we want to be in at this time. With respect, you are the manager who picks the team and the formation so the buck stops with you. Sort it out!
 
Exactly. These are the games to check out at least 5 new players to see if they have what it takes. Obviously they must agree to take the knee and be able to make out it means anything.

I pity anyone who a fully paid to watch this tripe, Nosegate as the coaching skills of Holloway and is just a mouthpiece yes man for the FA , just plays his mates who frankly most are not good enough, terrible team selection = terrible performance against a team of butcher,bakers & candlestick makers
 
Used to love watching England years ago,the place was like a fortress,all down wembley way and no hiding place .SURROUNDED BY INDUSTRIAL PLACES, THE ROAR . Used to be up lifting and exciting football and now...............dull,some hgyped up players who are not fit to waer the top and manage by a misfit with a very large nose more suited in a xmas panto
